IR4 is a technology company that specialises in developing Flexible Robotic Automation Systems that are both powerful and easy to operate. Our capability and technology has application across a wide range of industry segments such as mining, manufacturing, energy, defence along with oil and gas.

Our Head office is based in Stapylton, Queensland with over 2,500m² of undercover floorspace including overhead cranes and more than 1,500m² of hard stand. IR4 has the capacity to support significant numbers of projects at any point in time.

IR4 has developed and owns industry leading IP that is applied to processing complex tasks providing safety, efficiency, productivity, and cost savings to our customers. The IR4 team are highly skilled people with many years’ experience across a wide range of automation related industries, we are focused on developing and delivering benchmark automation solutions to our customers.

Our Team

Chris has an Honors degree in Engineering and is trade and project management qualified. Chris has spent the last 15 years at the cutting edge of automation and has had global accountability for 100’s of millions of dollars’ worth of projects across a range of industries. Chris is a passionate industry advocate and is a member of the board of Weld Australia as well as an industry advisory to the Advanced Robotic Manufacturing Hub, The Australian Cobotics Centre and QUT’s School of Electrical Engineering and Robotics.

Bella’s background ranges from hospitality to corporate & manufacturing. Her career started at Nestle on reception, progressing through various opportunities at companies such as Innkeepers Hotels, ANZ & Westpac, Castrol, Incitec Pivot & George Weston Foods. She held positions such as Executive Assistant & Customer Service Manager. Bella has owned a Café & BNB adding to her passion for all areas of Business. Bella has completed a TAFE Business Management Course and a Cert 4 in Project Management.

Sean is Head of Sales at IR4 and brings with him over 20 years of experience predominantly in the welding, mining, and manufacturing industries. He has a Bachelor of Business Studies Degree along with a recently completed MBA in Leadership with Curtin University. Sean has a passion for Automation and Innovation within the industry and adds another dimension to our team.

Nicholas is a mechatronics engineer who has the experience establishing and developing the technology behind IR4 from its earliest days as Smart Steel Systems to its latest site in Stapylton. He has been involved in a variety of roles ranging from operations, software development, project planning and development management. With a background in robotics he aims to integrate simple structured solutions to solve complex industry requirements via automation

Matthew is a qualified CNC machinist who has experience working in the defence industry. He is now at IR4 pursuing design and automation while also starting a degree in Mechanical Engineering

Stephan is a mechatronics engineering graduate from QUT. His primary interest is in robotic automation and is perusing it at IR4. Stephan is passionate about implementing automated systems that net significant efficiency gains.

As a CPA professional, Raymond has a background ranging from Oil and Gas, Heavy Equipment and Machinery, Submersible Project and Manufacturing. He holds a Master degree of Accounting and Finance from UQ. With multinational business experience, Raymond specialises in accounting, finance, reporting and taxation area and has a strong passion in the High Technology sector.
