The backbone of IR4’s automation technology is its task based automation IP, and some level of this technology is present in all of our projects

IR4 automation technology provides

  • Automated task based production planning directly from the geometric data supplied from compliant 3D models OR SCANNED DATA
  • Automated collision‐free robot planning
  • Automated part referencing with 2D laser
  • Automated seam tracking

IR4 Scanning

Scans the workpiece and compares the data to the part geometry. The IR4 system then automatically plans the tasks to take account of these variations.

Multiple Robots

Robot trajectories are planned right before each task. The IR4 system knows the real-time state of all robots in the environment and therefore will plan and execute parallel robot motions in a collision safe manner. The system also has the ability to start/stop each robot independently of each other based on sensor data

Hardware & Sensor Interface

Control loop handled within IR4 software with real-time continuous communications with sensor and hardware interface

Process Interruption

If an emergency stop or any external safety input has been triggered during the robot motion, the system will replan the required trajectory to re-execute current task from its current state, without any manual intervention once the emergency stop has been cleared
